Hi all, i would like to share with you this story which i came across while googling. :) Found it v meaningful long time ago, an immortal, after spending a thousand years cultivating the way, was visited by the Goddess of Mercy herself to congratulate the immortal on reaching his current level of enlightenment. Humbled by the appearance of the goddess, the young immortal asked what he has done to deserve a visit from such a high leveled being.The Goddess Of Mercy told the immortal that he has reached a stage where he needs to undergo another 2 tests before he can be accepted to the heavenly palace to be granted a heavenly post, thereby achieving true immortality. His task? To go into the mortal world and live and and seek out the blood of the heart.And so the immortal went into the mortal world. After a few years, influenced by the culture of humans he has interacted with, he fell in love. He got married to his wife and was happy. For a while, he even forgot that he was an immortal and that he has extraordinary powers. Alas, it was against the rules of heaven for an immortal to fall in love with and marry a mortal. As he has not used his powers for many years, he was able to avoid detection by the heavens. He was unfortunately forced to use his powers to save his village one day when an evil tree demon was attacking it. After smiting the tree demon dead with his magical sword, his true identity was revealed to the heavens. The celestial guards were promptly dispatched to confer credit to the immortal as well as remove the the memory of the woman he loved greatly. Fearing for the safety of his wife and unwilling to draw his sword against the celestial guards, the immortal looked at his wife with sorrow and, with a wave of his hand, turned into a string of smoke and flew off from the village. His actions saved his wife from the memory wipe but also caused her much grief as the memory of their union brought about the pain and anguish of the separation.The wife searched for her husband day and night. Traveling from village to village, spending her entire fortune in her search for her husband. In her quest for her husband, she was robbed, beaten, cheated and even rapped on several occasions yet she remained resolute in her mission. The immortal, as it turns out, had always been near his wife. Watching her every move. He was touched by his wife's resilience and finally decided to go against the rules of heaven and reveal himself to his wife again. As soon as he revealed himself to his wife, and they were about to embrace again, there was a blinding flash of light, the sky parted and the immortal was strucked by a beam of light. The man has been changed into the body of a woman. The wife was dumb folded. although the immortal was surprised at his transformation, he quickly understood the meaning for his change. He spoke:"My dear wife, you have searched for me whole heartedly and with conviction. I am truely touched by your love for me. Come, my dear wife, let us go home."But the wife could only collapse in tears. She felt weak and broken."How can i? You are a woman now. How can we be together now?"The immortal looked at his wife and said:"When you loved me, fought for me, searched for me and went through all the dangers just to find me again, was it due to your love for my body, or was it for my soul? I am still the same person i once was, the person you have loved and swore during marriage to love forever till the end of time. Now that i am a woman, you find you could not love me anymore?""Love and life is but a emotion shared between peoples. True love from the heart does not see the physical body. It sees the soul of each other and make the connection. You never loved me with your heart wife. You loved me for who i was. Not who i am. Go back now wife, find a new husband to be your mate. You will forget me soon enough."With that, the immortal flew away, having found the first blood of the heart.So my friends, do you believe in true love? As in, pure true love? Or does love only happen between a male and a female? What if your wife suddenly has an illness or got disfigured, would you love her any less?What if your husband got into an accident and lost his manhood, would he then not be man enough to be your husband?If, in your life, you found someone of the same gender whom you could really connect with, someone whom, somehow, grows to be so very close to you in every aspect of your life, yet, is of the same gender, would friendship only the the relationship you can have? Love.... Do you really understand what it is?
